Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and learn more about my proofreading services. I believe you will find my proofreading skills unique and refreshing for a few reasons:
- Unlike many other proofreaders you may come across, I have a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics. I’ve studied language: the way it moves, flows, progresses, and changes from one person to the next. The way we communicate feelings and personalities fascinates me. Because of this, I meticulously strive to understand the author and the audience. I want all of your passions and expressions to come across to the reader just as they were meant to be perceived.
- I do this for my own benefit; I love it and it sharpens my skills and my mind. This is great for you! It means I take on fewer projects than most proofreaders and give ample time between projects just in case the schedule shifts. I want to be open and available when I’m needed. I don’t cram in as many projects as possible, and your particular work will not be just one more thing to check off of a long list of projects.
- I do not offer editing at the moment. Not that I don’t have an interest in the area, but I am focused on proofreading right now and it has been engaging enough to hold my attention. I love proofreading. And the more I focus on it, the better I get. I am not distracted by more points of interest than need be which allows me to be the best I can be as your proofreader.
I’m excited to get to know you and your writing. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Pricing:
- Heavy Proofreading – $0.006 per word
Heavy proofreading goes beyond spelling, grammar, and punctuation correction. I check for consistency in story and your particular use of words and style. I extricate ambiguities and equivocations. This includes comments on wording, etc.
- Light Proofreading – $0.0035 per word
Light proofreading takes it back to basics: spelling, grammar, punctuation.
